That's one ugly fucker of a adventure bike, looks like over-head cams also?

Not sure I’ve ever seen a real good looking adventure bike but I don’t mind this one, it’s got a bit of The Jetsons look going on. Kinda beam me up look.

I reckon this is pretty good lookin rooster

WOW Never saw that coming ! I dont see anything in that line up that has me excited at all. Seems like HD have fired a shotgun into the buyers market by trying to produce a bike for every class of bike from tourers down to learner approved. It is noteworthy that most the new models seem to be watercooled as the Euro emissions are getting more stringent for air cooled bikes to achieve. Some styling cues seem to resemble recent competitors bikes......?

If the live wire prodction model gets at least 200km from a single charge and is confy enough for my 6'7" frame I will get one for my 160km daily commute.
But I highly doubt it will tick all those boxes.

I have to say the new M8 "softail" range does nothing for me at all, and I think it was stupid to kill the Dyna.
Having said that, I will admit I was a little bit excited to see the latest updates .

It appears that they will will maintain the "big twins" alongside the new platforms (for now !)

I believe that they have seen the writing on the wall with the inevitable death of the pushrod motors, and they are looking to the future.
I agree though, that it's the beginning of the end for Harley as we know it.
It's all just (smart ?) big business in the end !

I agree the other two look good as we have seen a very similar looking bike before, one a ducati the other an indian , the market liked the look and now HD are on the bandwagon

What will be interesting is that the segments HD are now headed all the competitors have vast electronic aids standard , HD are going to have to step up a fair bit. Bet my last dollar they go the cheap way and end up buying old tech from someone else.

Very true statement, most forum members are the one HD are moving away from. Out with the oldies in with the new. But HD had better do something better with their offroader to compete there are some excellent offerings from other brands, simply having a HD badge aint going to convert folks

    Absolutely.
Electronically adjustable suspension package, switchable rider modes, toggle ABS, all pretty much standard equipment on the European marques now, all for approx $30k ride away.

I like the look of the custom and street fighter; be interesting to see/hear some more about the engine. Adventure bike looks damn ugly!
What will be interesting is how good or not the street fighter and adv bike is — they will enter the market against brands that have been making these sort of bikes for over a decade or two. That is a lot of evolution and testing right there that HD hasn’t had yet. Very competitive market; price will be a significant factor.

I’m glad HD is looking to do something different, though.

Lemmy from Revzilla does a ok write-up with the limited info:

Yes it's interesting how Harley manages to keep it's new models so damn secret, you'd think some employee would leak something.
The name Pan America is interesting but it feels like the name for a grand tourer.
But with Pan in the name, I live in hope.

Mate I reckon the R1200 and the Triumph Explorer 1200 are both good looking bikes to be fair.
The KTM 1290 Super Adventure is an eyesore.
The Duc Multistrada is here nor there...
That HD 1250 ADV prototype is a new nadir of ugliness.
