During our three USA bike trips we came across several armed riders and civilians, common sight in lots of states

I have seen a few vids with this pair in it, they are , or profess to be ex special forces so are a bit over the top. The younger guy certainly shows more firearm proficiency in the video that the older dude.

Love the video PB. Imagine the missus riding on the back. You get into a little "my dick is bigger than yours" on the freeway at 60mph. She reaches into the saddle bag, starts snapping pieces together then swings her legs around so she's sitting backwards. Now that's a game changer..

Great vid PB.Like 1 elephant stamp, or is Bannana tatt.

Self- am allergic to knives, long time ago.
Although being a rigger always have one on side.
If we had the right to carry here I would carry, just cause I could.
Worked in M/C industry early 70"s, in Adelaide, and occassionaly on counter, remember dude, was told ex-Viet fella, came in with strapped handgun under shoulder holster, under leather jacket.. That blew me away then, 1973, Australia, city of churches and bloody sick fucken priests..
Knives are great for the jobs in hand, not for harming, then again, they be ban bricks soon I heard...

Ridden 3 separate times for six weeks each time around USA and only ever had 1 drama so think its because they can. They listen to our laws and shake their heads with things like RBT and speed fines. Anyone who has been to USA wil tell you the speed limits are just a suggestion but they smash you in built up areas for a few miles over

A mate of mine has been there a few times , he has relatives on the west coast (San Diego i think) and done a lot of driving there.
Last time he bought a Suburban & caravan and did a fair bit of touring , he stopped at the odd Walmart car park over night and had no problems.

The only time he has had problems is when he bought a 65 Mustang for someone in OZ , he tried saving money with something relating to the registration (can't remember the details as it's too long ago) and went into another state . he got pulled over by the police at gunpoint.
He managed to convince them that they were just dumb tourists and got it sorted out.
I know he did a lot of miles on that trip including a trip to New York and i think that was the trip that he saw the Twin Towers on so before 2001.

He's been trying to talk me into traveling there for years.

Can’t say I get Yanks ... ball bearings and assault rifles? Do the ball bearing/nuts/bolts trick often enough you will need to be armed.
I won’t be giving any bagger riders grief any more; just thought they liked taking the bike to Woolies. Turns out they are prepared for the Zombie hordes.

Ha Ha why bring a Glock to a machine gun fight!

That is not a machine gun, it's an AR15 (with some options), it will be a semi-automatic.
Only guns manufactured before 1986 are legally allowed to be full-auto and the stock on that one is more recent than that.

NB I'm not saying it isn't a serious weapon, the same gun is available in full-auto after all, just that one isn't actually a 'machine gun'.

I much prefer the Mini 14 but the AR15 is a good gun, it's just a bit too 'look at me' for my preferences, of course since Howard the arsehole effectively banned semi-autos neither is an option any more (but I still remember the Mini 14 as being a really nice gun to shoot).

Ball bearings, nuts and bolts, all a bit expencive, my drunken father inlaw would carry a bag of stones that he would throw out the window as he drove by.
All my rifles are to big for panniers, solid stocks, but I am thinking of selling the train, tricycle and Porsche to buy a trike
    More room
