My Hoglight developed a condensation problem after six months. I've put the stocker back for now and I'm looking for the same type of halogen light H-D used in the early 90's.

I have had a HOGLIGHT   https://hoglights.com.au/ in my XR1200 (5 3/4 same as a breakout) for about 2 years now and have not had a problem. I also have a Harley Daymaker (also a 5 3/4) ie https://shop.frasermotorcycles.com.au/products/harley-davidson-daymaker-projector-led-headlamp-67700145a in my Springer for about 4 years now and it is also great.

I have compared both from a lighting perceptive (brightness / distance etc) and cannot see a difference. That said the pricing is a significant difference, the HOGLIGHT being half the price. I bought the Harley Daymaker before I found out about HOGLIGHTS and when I wanted one for the XR I decided to try one. Cannot fault it and if I need another one I know where I will be going - HOGLIGHTS.

Hey Smokey61 - did u go back to HOGLIGHTS and tell them about it? Interested to know what they said as this is the first problem I have heard about with their lights? Just saw this on their Facebook page  - particularly the "care about customer" / "7 yr warranty" pieces caught my eye:

Wish the a$$holes could see you when you’re riding?
Sick of the dull yellow glow of your OEM headlight?
HogLights are bright AF, simple fit lights (true story!) If you don’t wanna take our word for it, check out some of the hundreds of 5 ?? reviews on our website.

They specifically state that the warranty doesn't cover condensation issues. I could argue the point but It wasn't that good that I'd want another. Whiter light, but not necessarily better.

I want the old style with the prismatic lens and replaceable halogen bulb to replace the stock reflector optic type. Stick a 55/100W bulb in it and Bob's yer uncle.

The stocker has 'burned' a ring in the reflector above the bulb and needs washing out with alcohol every now and then to remove the haze buildup from gas discharge.
