    Hey guys,
Just bought a new phone holder which also has a charger port on it. I need to wire it up but the leads aren't long enough to reach the battery.
I am not much of an electrician and am asking where I should be connecting it behind the batwing.
Their are many options available, never seen so many wires.
I'm assuming that it should only be usable when the ignition is on so I don't flatten the battery.

    Thanks in advance.

    One look, "Ohhh Fuck".
Wished could help, but I"m a minimum wired man. Umm...... don"t take that the wrong way.
Though, in saying that, have you manual, if so, work her out from there, I'd say.
Just saw ya problem, shoulda bought a Road Glide not a Street Glide, that I'd fixer up.
Sorry, for stupid comments, have bad cold and cannot go outside to play, whiskey for cold.
Really I"d say would be easy, follow manual, for acc.

Run an extension wire to a fuse holder and then to the battery. It is what I did on my FatBob, and works fine.
    Cheers Ken

That"s an easy fix, using universal Power socket lighter, for jointing to phone. KKKKen"s on the money though.

You need the wiring diagram for that model and then the entire exercise becomes a piece of piss.  There is bound to be bot Battery and Ignition feeds galore in that loom somewhere, although I would not be even looking without the wiring diagram.   Google is your friend here.

    Hi,
    No ciggy lighter anywhere.
That would make it too easy!!!

    Hi Ken,
I think that's the logical way to go. Might leave the fuse holder in an easy to get at location and not behind the batwing.
Although I'm no sparky, I could handle that w/o fucking things up.
Not really keen on chopping plugs up and such.

    Thanks.

    Hi Tussusk,
I have a manual which includes wiring diagrams, but like I said I'm no sparky.
Might go the easy way and run a pair of wires to the battery with an in line fuse of about 5A, that should do.

    Cheers.

+1, it's definitely a case of KISS rules.

    No worries.
I used  quad fuse box that takes normal size blade style fuses and it just fits in the small space I have under the seat behind the battery. I run both legs through tgere own fuse, much safer that way, old trick from doing CB's.
Fuse box came from Super Cheap I think as J Car didn't have them.
Use the glue type heat shrink as it is waterproof when done.
Sing out of you need it.
    Cheers Ken
