Yeah it looks super smooth in the pics, seems like a good alternative to powder for certain components.

It varies place to place. My parts had to be stripped, re polished, and re done. Price was equivalent to high quality PC (not an industrial place)
Biggest thing with your restoration is how many parts would.be suitable for anodizing. Its only really suitable on Billet/machined, high quality aluminium (and Titanium).

For any cast aluminium and alloys, anodizing won't be an option.

Worth looking into cerakoting. Its a matte finish, but very smooth and hard wearing/durable. It what  I used on the cast parts.

Same  old, chip away, wait for more parts.
Inner primary and chain installed, sorted out a weird clearance issue with the clutch pushrod. New chrome clutch cable on order.

Main work has been planning the wiring harness and what's required. Cable colors, connectors, diagrams etc, plus trying to find oem specific it's like the neutral switch crimp, the starter motor plug etc.

Good to see some progress, the primary going on etc. The wiring has to be the worst part of doing ground up builds, at least in my eyes, but maybe not as much as waiting for parts.

Little update. Oil tank and oil lines in and buttoned up. Decided against using the bling metal braided ones I have after looking closely at the routing and hearing the stories about it wearing away anything it touches.

Sourced some correct grade hardware to mount the footcontrols, and primary cover hardware.

Still waiting on electrics to arrive, TC88 ignition, Motogadget M unit and Speedo, wiring etc.Doing some rough sketching of wiring loom at the moment to visualise it. Can't find a fuckin neutral contact for the life of me so will likely be using one stolen from an old FXR loom. Crank angle sensor and oil pressure switch installed. Can confirm the plug for a 2014 CPS is the same as a 2001 CPS, not the same length though.

Stock dual disc front end on for rego purposes.

Making up a mount from regulator. Im using a dyna charging system, stock Dyna RR mounts off of tabs on the downtube. I'll be making a little angle mount to get it a bit tighter off the stock style FXR mount.

Thanks Baloffski, I'll be stoked to finally ride it haha.
New issue today, Bars are slightly tweaked so a guage mount won't fit. Currently talking to Biltwell about options.
