I recall downloading a map onto a USB and taking that to the USA with me and then downloading the map into the Ultra Hire bike....

What country maps were you expecting to find on that US hire bike PB, that you had to take your own. 

LOL .......We downloaded our trip starting in Vegas headed to Sturgis return with all our stops. So everyday we were able to switch on and go, and funnily we loaded the maps to both bikes and many times the GPS would give different turn instructions to each other! Both setting were checked on the bikes to ensure they were both the same.
