How do you find the heat with the fangs on? I'm 6'4 and feel like I'm in the ring with Mike Tyson the buffeting is that bad. have ordered the 8" screen, batwing deflectors just curious as all the U.S guys reckon the fangs block a bit of cooling airflow to the donk

I've felt a fair bit of heat on my right leg on the last ride.  I'm going to start playing with the adjustable wings to see if I can get a compromise that'll work.  The fangs are worth it though.   They really work.  So much so I'm thinking of going back to the OEM 4" screen.

I don't doubt they work, just a bit concerned about air flow to the engine. I'm still coming to grips the the 'glide

Have done 70000klm on my Street Glide with them on in the middle of summer in Qld two up fully loaded, never noticed a change in temp. I run a power vision tuner that you can monitor engine temp with and again never saw a single degree difference between them on or off.

Anyone running “lovejugs” not sure if they’re effective when riding or just stationary.

Have seen them, they work off a sensor so only run when the bike gets to predetermined temp either while riding or at idle.

Harley wouldn't offer the part if they thought it could affect airflow enough to cause a problem .

Hey Pauly how do you find the power vision? Mine came with one and haven't used it yet, so curious as to how it goes.

I too noticed a lot of buffeting im only 180 tall and did some research and too read that the screen height needs to top out between the eyes. I measured with a spirit level and ruler and it came to about a 7" screen which i ordered from hd and fitted now ride at up to 150kms phr with visor open and no tears....works great.

I just picked up new street glide 2018 and the buffering was first thing I noticed as I got onto the freeway drove me mad at first think I better order a bigger screen you would think Harley would allow you to pick what size you need when buying a new bike

That is exactly the reason I will never buy a NEW Harley. The attitude of the dealers (with the exception of the mob on South Rd perhaps) is abysmal.

Sorry guys but I'm really struggling with this 'issue'. For HD to 'tailor' make a screen for everyone that asked for one (and it's certainly a minority), would take a massive inventory and investment on their behalf.  Screens for SG's etc are dime a dozen on ebay etc in 1" increments for less than $50.  To complain of wind buffeting on a HD is comical....maybe you should stick to a car!

Have a look at the freedom shields....contact the owner and he can put you onto the right height screen for your height...they are well worth the money and also optically correct

I don't ride a touring bike yet but managed to pick up a windshield from a guy out of Victoria to suit my Slim FLSS and the brand was called Memphis Shades. Did a bit of research on the product and apparently back in the day well before Harley started making shields to suit there brand these guys where the big brand to have on your bike. The shield I got looks solid and comes with a trigger lock setup so she don't come off while your flying down the freeway. They do all sorts of screens to suit any bike also deflectors to suit most bikes. Thought I would share the info just in case people was looking for other brands to try.
