Giday people...its really hurtin not being able to ride for a while now. 06 dyna s/b
Story, (yeah grab a beer) i was riding 2 up and hit a friggin crater in the road and as soon as i came out the other side, there was a savage vibration through bars and pegs,  i know harleys known to friggin vibrate but this was completely different, i pulled over thinking i would see an obvious bloody dint in the rims or something, but nothing visble. I rode off solo and the vibration was intense, never ceasing, and in time with the speed i was doing, not the revs of the engine.

Now Journey to get this resolved... took rims to get checked out by Lightfoot Engineering, would have been cool if it were around the corner, 650km roud trip...aah what we do for our bikes and the journey.
The wheel bloke took a screwdriver and spun...all good, spun the rear...all good, only out by a whisker, it’s perfectly normal for these rims, to be like this’, he said. I was stumped and so was he when i described to him the vibration over the phone.
i then proceeded to replaced the front tyre, rear was 100kms old and balanced out great. Cheched front axle, rolled on flat metal surface and as far as i could see, it was nornal.
Ok so brand spankan new tyre on the front, vibration dropped by about 70%
Now get rid of the last remanig, wasn’t there before vibrations i had the wheels checked out again by Classic Wheels & Spokes. Both rims were out by 1-2mm and the only, eyes closed, concerntrate like *#^%in dint in the rear rim rim wher the bead sits, apart from that, completely normal. Here it is, checked forks, trees, front axle, replaced front tyre and had wheels complete checked by pro’s.
Is there by krikey a an explanation for the vibrations....i guess i just have to not ride this one out a longer.

    Cheers Dunksy

Have you checked the front engine mount ? top link arm ?
Could have even shifted the crank, but unlikely if it totally road speed related.

Now this will sound crazy but have you got a detachable bar and rack on the back.
This happen to my mate on his bob and we all fucked around for ages trying to sort it , at first we were sure it was an engine mount.... (put a vibration through whole bike)end up being the rack sitting loose cause the roller it sits into was fucked.

bet my left nut front motor mount is broken.

If you are really worried about this happening again, trackrdie make a thing called a "case saver" which is a small pad that goes between the frame and the engine to take up the slack on huge impacts (designed for wheelies)

You did not change wheel bearings?
but I think like others, sounds like an engine mount.
I had a rear engine mount on a dyna break, but that cause a really bad wobble above 160kph.
you could also go to a truck tyre place that can spin the wheel one at a time & off the ground on a stand just to double check no vibes from spinning wheel but might show up whats moving to cause the vibration.
it would not be you crank shaft as I had mine move out of alinement and I road the bike at 112MPH (170kph?? ) was no vibration just slowed the motor lost power.
good luck hope you solve it.
brings back memory of an old song " I'm all shook up "
    cheers
