Wondering who has buzzing front brakes and who has silent front brakes?

    2003 Soft tail deuce - single front rotor - silent
    2014 Ultra - double front rotors - no noise but annoying vibration - rotors seemed buckled
    2017 Ultra - double front rotors - silent

    2009 CVO Fatbob, so twin disc, drilled, no noise.

    2012 street glide Lyndall race pads.....buzzes like hell when you grab a fist full

    My 2012 Dyna (single disk) was a buzzer under brakes, my 2017 Street Glide (twin disk) is not.

    Rollies in Brisbane are the importers/distributor. Great pad but if the buzz annoys you maybe stay away from them

    There's been some references to sintered pads, I'll try the non-sintered pads first. Local dealer carries Lyndall pads. If the cicada is still there, I'll try other brands.

    It was me that mentioned the sintered pads......i use Lyndall pads and they do make the noise, these are the current pads in my bike

    As I wrote in the other thread...
    08 Streetbob - HD pads, Lyndell pads, plus another brand I can't remember the name of. The cicadas have been buzzin since day one. Doesn't bother me.

    Thanks for the replies so far, a small sample shows buzzing brakes are common, but not universal. That's useful information.

    For me the noise is there under most application of brakes but grab a fistfull from higher speeds and you really hear it

    No front brake noise on my 1997 FXDWG.
