Hello all, I have a 2018 Fat Boy with the lakestar wheels... I think that's what they're called. Anyway they have like etched in grime from the brake rotors on the front left and rear right. Ive tried auto glym wheel cleaner one of the better brands and it doesn't do much good. Any good ideas? sit with a tooth brush for an hour or so?
    Thanks :o)

And when you get them clean Lyndall Race pads in the brakes stop the grime. HD sell a mag wheel cleaner, the dealer never gave you a pack?

no they didn't, so the HD cleaner will work the best you think? The Auto Glym kind of stained the smooth part of the wheel...

The wheel cleaner removes the crap from the wheel, you may have to polish the rim with something like purple polish to get the shine back

I've tried a few products over the years, if chrome go with the purple polish as mentioned, if alloy I ended up back with autosol with a buffing wheel on the drill.
But in saying that with alloy some small stains or etching just won't come out.

I still use the old toothbrush but doesn't take long to clean when using with wheel cleaner and the bike is jacked up

Paul its not a "commercial brand" rather a speciality metal polish hence Supercheap etc dont stock it. Bursons stock it and if your local does not have it they can get it in. Some Auto Barns have it as well and some repco stores
