I was not into Aussie rules and knew nothing about the game. but over the years I started watching Sydney swans play & its a faster game less rules & has not needed changes  or head gear it's Aussie as Kiwi's & Poms could not play it!!

    Have ZERO interest in Aussie rules.

    There is a different topic for AFL that had maybe 3 posts.....LOL no wonder they have to feel loved coming to the real mens game

    Paul, from my experience knowing both NRL & AFL people . I notice the AFL are not as vocal & they go to watch, NRL more vocal and sit in front of TV drinking .
    Just check out the number's who attend, AFL grand Final & NRL grand final. Also NRL have been making changes all the time & some changes they have imitated AFL. Just Saying.

    Soccer players get big $'s , So do Gridiron play's . Gridiron all raped up in protective coating , Soccer Players fall over crying, then a penalty and they instantly recover, when they score it's all hugs & kiss's . well NRL seem to be imitating both those codes now .
    AFL is more Aussie Oldschool.

    No argument at all from me....if there wasn't footy most of them would be on the dole! Administrators have tried desperately to raise the image of the game in both codes but it is littered with drug abuse, sexual assaults and assaults!  Sounds a bit like our political parties really

    I'm hoping PB but I reckon Storm learned some lessons from the last belting Canberra gave them.
    If Raiders can produce an enthusiastic 80 mins and not get in the arm wrestle with Melbourne, it will be a great game.

    Found a bar somewhere in Southeast Asia to watch the footy. Raiders better not stuff this up!
