    Hi All,
Just thought I'd pass on the following comments! Took my rig [2017] Breakout for it's 32k service, was offered a loaner, choice between the new FXDR and a Street Glide
[as much as I wanted to test the FXDR] , In my mind, my next purchase would be a Street Glide [ so Hello good thanks]!!
So the SG had a 114, Stage II and pipes to match! Sounds exciting, but kinda let me down! Sure there was heaps of bottom end torque, but only over a certain rpm band!

That rev range was nowhere near what I do on mine, maybe its me? But Just felt to smooth and to slow [ experienced the same when I rode the the 114 Breakout on the previous service]. Just felt like no "low down power" , I could be wrong??? Just my take on the throttle??

Ergonomics: Felt like a mini bike compared to mine! Chose to wear the Full Face that day, buffering was horrible!
Floor boards were fitted but seating position felt like shit, I'm 6 ft, the most comfortable I felt was leaning under the small screen!
To mind, you'd need to throw and extra couple of $$ to make the SG suit!

And you liked your Breakout std......you need to set any HD up to suit yourself  and the bufferting is easily sorted.

i'm a bit like you.  Jumped on a Streetglide I was thinking of acquiring and found the riding position to be cramped.  To be comfortable, I would need to extend the boards forward, change out the bars and probably the seat as well.  Those changes pluse the fact it was a twinky made me decide to stick with my Evo Heriglide......

Im no bike expert, and Im not that tall, but I must agree. I test rode a 2018 SG and felt very cramped as well. Wind buffeting was bad too.  Didn't mind the seat.  I sat on, but didn't ride a 2019 model at a bike show the other day and seating position felt completely different..
    Just my two cents too.

Yep, the 18 SGs have a few ergo issues that are easily fixed. The brake pedal is at least 100mm closer than the shifter which twists your body and cramps you up. Fix: Kuryakyn long brake lever.
The bars are too close and too swept-back. Fix: new bars (I made my own)

Buffeting: that ridiculous OEM screen is good for SFA. Fix: 10" H-D or Klockwerks lipped screen.

Re 117s: Not worth the effort on a Tourer IMO. You ride a tourer between 2000-3000rpm. A stage one 107 with a good 3D tune will be up over 100ft/lb right through there.

    It's a damn-near 400kg bike fuelled up FFS, there's other quick HDs...

LOL They go ok for the weight they have to haul. Had many back to back 1000 klm days with no soreness etc once set up.

Guys. I can say that the 18 Ultra / SG is the most comfy and smoothest bike I've ridden. I'm 5'10 and a bit in heels and seem to fit perfectly into the standard seat, bar, boards position.
I did change the standard 10 inch harley screen to a clear 10" windsplitter. Buffeting is negligible with a full face. The vent must be open though. I'm looking over the screen up to about 6 inches (visor open) without wind in the eyes.
From the look of the image of the screen on the bike stevo test rode, that screen is far too short. Form over function. It'd put the wind blast right in the face.

Thanks for the comments Stevo. Dare I say it, I agree about the feel of the M8, the ones I’ve ridden didn’t give the same feel of urgency as my TC 110 dyna. I’m 6.2 bare feet and I found the SG ergonomics wrong also, but Steelo in his stilettos finds it comfy :) If only HD made forward controls for tourers.
I liked the handling though, the SG went really well through the hills.
