    Welcome aboard Davopan, with that name I thought you might be riding a Pan Davo but a Heritage is cool. Enjoy the forum plenty of us old geezers here.

    Thanks for the welcome , sorry Ratbob not on the pan now, did have a restored 53 flh but been gone now for 10 years. Sometimes i miss it , but have to admit that kicking it over on a stinker hot day did test me more than once.  The 2012 heritage just purrs along , and only get a sore thumb on a stinker hot day now, not dislocated hip.....

    Wow, a 53 FLH impressive machine, but LOL, yep I’m with you, especially with our modern shitty unleaded fuel. Cheers

    My son was looking for a pan or shovel for his first HD and i reminded him of the blood , sweat , tears and bucketloads of $$$$ i spent on restoring my old banger , sure it looked cool , and it ran fine at 62.5 mph , at 75 mph me fillimgs in teeth were loosenin, me spine was sore and it could have led to premature hip replacement , i did sort it out fitting auto advance distrubitor so was easy to start but not really an everyday ride. My son ended up listening to me for 1st time and picked up a 93 anniversary wide glide with 10 thousand ks on it and now he rides instead of repairing and is so glad he bought evo
