I have to sell my Streetglide, it's finally gotten to the point where I can't reliably handle the weight so I'm selling it before something goes wrong and I drop it and I'm going to buy something lighter (not sure what yet but I've still got the V-Strom 650 for now).
It's fitted with Screaming Eagle mufflers, high flow air filter, Screaming Eagle torque cam with stage 2 tune. Optioned with Higher touring screen (comes with stock screen).  Bike has a quick release rear rack with backrest and sissy pad (comes with bag to suit rack). The sound system has a Stage 1 upgrade which replaces the small stock speakers with larger coaxial speakers and adds an amplifier increasing volume and making it much easier to use on the highway. The bike is also fitted with an engineer designed and approved tow bar which was fitted in Bendigo by the engineer.  I am also selling a Shadow trailer if you want the bike and trailer then it's $2000 extra (this is only just over a year old and cost almost $4000).

I've got this advertised on bikesales.com.au for $25000 but I'll take $24,000 from a forum person (2 years old and it cost $39000 plus $3800 for the trailer).

Thank you Spook. I cannot deny that the red does look pretty good. It'll be a solid undercoat for the next owner to paint it black. GLWS Geoff.

Thanks, is yours a 2017 or 2018?  I think they altered the red just a little... or maybe just different batches of paint?
But yeah basically the same color (looks great I reckon).

A trivial discussion on shades of red is something black Harley owners never need concern themselves with.

Try one of these on Geoff, I rode one not long again and it's the first Harley that was ergonomically ok for me off the floor, I'd still mess with the engine but seat, bars, suspension and even the floorboards were all good.
Might not be your cuppa but worth a blat to see mate.

Black isn't a color... it's the shade of emotion riders of black bikes feel when they see a red one go past  (red ones go faster).

Grease Monkey, the main reason I'm getting rid of my Street Glide is that with my arthritis and angina the weight of the Glide is getting a bit much at low speeds.
I need something a fair bit lighter so I'm going to take a 1200 sportster (maybe an Iron 1200) for a decent test ride and see what I think.

You will need a low one then, my old 1200 was pretty tall and not that easy to paddle about
