Stage I suggestions?

overall I'm pretty happy with the performance of my FXBB (after an 88cu '05 Dyna- Stage 1 and Fueling cam chest - it's fine for my daily needs) but curious about some Stage I upgrades and looking for inspiration ...
I'm looking low profile and 'discrete' (black to match the bike) where possible ... I like the look of this, and also a big fan of the amusement value of the RSD Clarity Black Ops air filter.... any pros/cons on either, recommendations for better options, and suggestions for a Ringwood/Doncaster VIC area installer (if it's a H-D part, I'll probably swing by the Harley Heaven folks)

For exhausts I'm a fan of the 2-into-1 style but actually pretty happy with the current stock look, and not crazy loud (I like my neighbours and don't want to piss them off at 5am or 11pm!)

no rush on any of this, just interested in what's out there, what folks have found that works well, and anything to avoid like the plague because either it doesn't work or it has VicPol overly interested!

The ventilator is a decent enough stage 1, the RSD would be close to it, doubt you would notice any difference between them performance wise at stage 1.
For the quiet exhaust that works you are pretty much looking at SuperTrapp or the other brands that use that system with their moniker on them.
    Noise is somewhat subjective though.

I also like the Harley air filter.  But I do tend to think the Roland Sands is a total tossa (right up there with OCC Senior) so I'm a little biased.
Have a look at the Harley dealer as they have some nice aftermarket pipes from a couple of brands (well they do at Harley Heaven).  Just stay away from anything by vance and Hines.

The price may make a difference as well, the RSD piece is quite a bit more expensive here. Actually lived in the US for the last 10 years and met Roland at a couple of events and thought he was okay (certainly not in the OCC level of annoying crazy!)
the local HH do have some options (living in the US really spoiled me for what's available to see at a dealer, even my local indy back in Seattle had a lot more parts on show... the benefits of a much bigger market ) ... curious why you're not a V&H fan... had them on my Dyna and didn't have any problems

thanks! probably not going much beyond Stage 1 (I say that now, we'll see how that turns out in a year... though the speed limits round here make it way less fun). Noise is a tough call, but "neighbour-friendly" is a consideration ;)

Black and low profile is my aim also. I went for the S & S mini teardrop and Bassani Road Rage. Both super easy to install, hardly worth paying someone to do it. A lot of other pipes I looked at were much longer, hanging out past the rear axle which I didn't like.
Also like you I never planned on going further than stage 1 but am currently researching a cam change.

Tail tidy is a must! I fabricated that up the same day I picked up the bike because I couldn't stand looking at it.

sadly that's beyond my skill (or garage!) but certainly on the shopping list ;)
