heated gloves?

I know there's not much call for them here, but has anyone any recommendations for a decent pair of heated motorbike gloves? Most of the ones I've found are for skiers and while they look nice, not quite sure how protective they'd be if they ever came into contact with the road surface. Important criteria are rechargeable (I'm fed up with messing about with wires from under the saddle up through my jacket!), weatherproof (obviously!), protective (without being covered with too many bumps and protrusions so people look at you funny!), oh ... and not going to electrocute/burn me like my current Harley pair did this weekend (wondered why my thumb and forefinger started tingling, then went numb, ended up pulling the plug on the connector and doing the last 30kms feeling the cold but at least the pain went away!)... The other option is possible heated handgrips - any pros/cons (looks about the same price)

Installed heated grips on the '96WG, have two heat settings. Allows me to ride all year round -  that alone makes it a good thing.

thanks! the more I think about it, the better an option that seems ... means I don't need to have the heater wires right next to my skin (and I don't need to carry the 'right' pair of gloves and struggle with wires!)

I installed the HD black rubber heated grips on my 17 SGS and love them.
We did Tassie last October and with the exception of one really bad day, I wore fingerless gloves every day with the heat set at 2 or 3. Haven't really gone a higher setting than that, make a huge difference.

I've got their gloves and jacket liner. Bloody good things they are. I reckon heated gloves are better than heated grips and wouldn't give up on heated gloves because of one faulty pair.
