Personaly , I've never had the issue , simply because  i always take my helmit off, to be honest , i usually would prefer it off  get some air to my noggin while i fill , then wait in line to pay ...  where do i put it , same place every time , on top of my mirror .

    Yep same here.

Same here been the rules for almost 30years that I can Remember I use
To pump petrol back in the day before all the servos went self serve
These days though it would be more about the drive offs   More
Than anything  they won’t a shot of your good looking head lol

I’ve been refuelling at the same Shell servo regularly for the last year and have only had to pull down my mask (open face) when going inside to pay.
Suddenly last week they wouldn’t activate the pump til I removed my helmet.
    I refused and rode away.

The BP just up the road gets my money now.

I wear an open faced helmet and wrap around sunnies and have never been asked to take either off but usually take the sunnies off to see the little keypads to pay the fuel.
I agree IF it was a full faced helmet I'd take it off...get some sheila to go in with a full blown Islamic headress and see how they deal with that.

If you were going to steal fuel you certainly wouldn’t do it on a bike.  You’d do it with false plates towing a 1000litre IBC for Christ’s sake.

Just came across his thread....Funny thing, Coming home from work a couple of weeks ago, just after midnight. Fuel indicator hits low so into a BP servo.  Late night so pre pay required. Went in , helmet on (open face) and paid. As I put the card back in the wallet, old mate say’s “Don’t forget to take your helmet off to refuel. WTF. Never before in 30 + years doing same. Always full face off to pay... Open face leave in place.

glad to hear im not the only one that takes this stance .. and several others it seems,  i have a sena bluetooth headset and every time i seem to take the lid off one of the earpeices comes unstuck for some reason , plus its a buckle fasten ..with a snap stud .. and requires also taking gloves off .. so all in all a bit of a pain in the arse as normally ive only just put it all on as the servo is virtually right on my doorstep.
as i said previous .. none of the girls in there have a problem so long as face is visible ... whats the difference from me taking off my lid and then replacing it with my harley cap which i almost always do soon as i get to where im going .
as i said before ..common sense goes a long way

so you can pay with helmet on ,but not actually refuel...bit backward.
