    Hi All,
Thought I'd join up in order to try and learn some more about Harleys.
Recently decided I was going to look at getting onto a Harley for my next bike. Been riding for about 10-12 years on and off, previously had sportsbikes (ZX10R & GSXR1000) which I used to get upto a bit of mischief on, been out of the seat for about 3 years or so now though.

Probably be a few months before I'll be able to look to get onto something, but starting to have a look at what's about, what pricing is like and what style I like.
Hope to learn more and spend some more time around here.

    Cheers

    Welcome.
As you will see in a couple of posts in this forum Bike Sales are down so make sure you go for as many test rides as you want / can (this way you will get to see which model suits u) and bargain down the price.

    Thanks guys.
Still working out what bike would be a good fit etc for me. Went and sat on some a week or so back at a dealership to get a feel.

Was initially interested in the Iron due to the price point, however after sitting on one I don't think I'll be getting one. Seemed to feel a bit small for me (I'm about 6ft2) and I think it'd feel a bit odd or even uncomfortable to ride after a while.

Now I'm thinking more along the lines of maybe a used Fat Bob/Street Bob, possibly low rider or even night train. ( I like the more blacked out look over chrome everywhere).

With mileage on these bikes, noticing a number of them have some solid mileage on them (40k+ kms), how do HD's go in terms of longevity?
Obviously this is subjective based on on going maintenance/how it's ridden etc.
