Great photo Mickle. I've ridden that road too. Awesome. Have stopped at the Whitfield pub for a beer too (great outdoor seating area - beer garden).
Today was a beautiful sunny day in Melbourne. 22 deg , no wind, not a cloud in the sky.
Hi Ged, It was one of the best riding days of the year so far. Weren't we lucky to be able to take advantage of it. I live in the inner east, and took a ride out to the Yarra valley via Christmas Hills ( a very good ride 18kms of twisties through forest close to Melb) Then bypass Yarra Glen and rode out on the Steels Creek road till it turned to gravel, then returned back to the office. One of my favourite rides is Arthurs seat to Cape Schank via Main Ridge, then to Flinders and back to Arthurs Seat. It's about an hour loop, with some beautiful scenery, magnificent forest roads, some excellent twisties and hills. Climbing Arthurs seat on a big bike the last hair pin is so tight it switches back on itself, its a balance challenge, as the road cambers steeply into the gutter.
