I ended up putting heated grips on my Springer - waited until Frasers (local stealer) had a 40% sale. Best $350 (including fitting by my own mechanic) I have spent on it.
anyone using hand guards for wind protection ?
Back in the early 80s, I was working as a motorcycle courier in Melbourne. We were using "Bar Muffs" from memory. They were a big fur lined plastic or leather Mitten velcroed to our handlebars, They were ugly as sin, fairly inexpensive and mostly effective. They were big enough to easily swallow a winter lined heavy glove.
Still see the uber eats scooters getting around town with those things now! They look hilarious...
Following....Let us know what you decide upon as the colder mornings here in Melbourne mean I have dusted off the windscreen and think thermals. Just need something to keep the fingers warm (and I cannot run heated grips du to no room in the bars to run anymore cables AND they are too expensive.)
I just went out and bought some new gloves yesterday as the 4 degree mornings are getting a little cold on the fingers when you get rolling.
Damned if I didn't overheat this morning and had to unzip the jacket to cool down - even though its was still only 5 degrees out. Nice warm fingers after 45mins rideing is a winner for me.
MEB7219 is the correct part # i've been told.
What about heated gloves? about $250-$300 so a happy median.
