    Hi guys

I'm a dedicated Ducati rider with a young girl who love the Harley brand.

So I bought a 500 and began to customise the ugly duck.

Happy to say its turning out nice so far and I even enjoy taking it out for a run now and then.

Joined up to see what others have done and ensure I do the brand proud.

    Enjoy.
May I suggest you don’t plow too much on your Street.
You’ll be upgrading it to a bigger Harley soon. :-)

Hey Datsu, would that be Wreck Point?

Have a few other brands myself including Ducati, main thing is do not worry too much what others think, build a bike for yourself and have fun. Personally I quite like the blacked out look I have an 883 that I have done similar. Have to agree with Hog63 though the brand is a bit addictive...

Hi Datsu, welcome to the forum, can’t help thinking you got her a Street rather than a StreetBob so she wouldn’t keep passing you.
Kidding :-) enjoy the forum and getting out together.
Which model Ducati are you riding?

Mate it sure is, was a top day for a ride this week
I have to say I have enjoyed working on a bike like this so maybe I need to find bigger pockets.

Agree it is a matter of personal taste, but there is taste and then there is taste hehehe.

I like the way Ducati riders think, “just a baby” Hm, 148hp and what’s it weight 170kg? Plus it has about the same torque to weight ratio as most Harley’s. Must be fun. Cheers

Thanks for the welcome HOG63. I am seriously looking for myself now but I have 4 girls - all small and petite. Who said genetics sets a standard.  So I want a bike that will be a nice ride through all their RE periods. This is the perfect fit.
The 500 is a good height, donor bike cost $4.5K with $4K worth of work its actually a cheap ride. Great pipes shinny spokes, improved mirror and bars-  next step is just to clean up the rear and shorten the springs I think.....maybe forward controls

    Yep forwards are great.
You could lose an inch off the rear height for sure. Cheap way is the bolt-on lowering kit. Just crank your shocks preload up a notch.
