What a great result for Davo. His first year with Honda achieving 3rd in Superstock after a battle with Michael Dunlop.
Man those TT riders are only a wisker this side of sane.
    Go Davo.

We should get Jack Miller into that race!  He might actually stay on the bike for once...

Yeah mate, I wonder how the GP guys would do?
Problem for Jack and the rest is the TT has bugger all run off.  In its 107 years it’s claimed 258 riders and I don’t think there’s any big dollar  contracts to lure them.

Thanks Jay-Dee, I hadn’t seen that article. Good read. I’m an old friend of Davo’s father and I gotta say, Davo is one of the few genuinely grounded blokes I’ve ever known, much like his Dad.
Thanks again for the tip. Cheers
Tell ya what though, it pisses me off that I’ve not seen any TT coverage nor mention of how well the many Australian motorcycle guys are doing overseas in various events. All we seem to get is MotoGP and Dakar.

What I find strange is I don't ee any protest rallys or even comment on people being killed

every year there is uproar around jumps racing because horses have failed and had to be put down

yet nothing around the TT event that is natorious for deaths

I am a firm believer in "let those that ride, decide", so I don't want it stopped either, just surprised is all

Yeah mate, I guess the point is that the geegees have no say.  Large  testicles these guys, Davo also rides the North West 200. Just if not more mental.

No problem Ratbob, I'm glad you enjoyed it. The TT racers are a special breed for sure but any I've seen interviewed all seem like pretty down to earth guys, definitely no inflated egos and they're not bat shit crazy like most people assume given what they do.
That website the link is from usually has most motorcycling results from around the world including the daily TT updates when it's on, you'll find them on there from this year if you dig a bit. Grab the home page from the link I posted and look around.

When Channel one was purely a sports channel they used to belatedly show the hour long TT programs that are broadcast in the UK but not for at least four or five years now. The mainstream media aren't remotely interested, I don't even remember hearing anything when Cam Donald won some TT races.

I follow professional cycling a bit as well and Aussies have won some really big races and grand tour stages in Europe that you've never heard about and won't see anywhere but maybe SBS or very, very rarely the ABC. The only time the mainstream media give a shit is if it's the Tour de France and and there's a big crash or maybe an Aussie leading (or Cadel Evans winning), channel nine does cover the Tour Down Under in South Australia though.

If you're talking to David Johnson or his old man please pass my congratulations on, to be at the pointy end in the TT field is a massive achievement for a motorcycle racer in my opinion.
