so i contact the place i bought them for online and they tell me either contact sena direct , or do a factory reset on both units ..ok no worries i thought !!! .. get the manual out and look for intsruction on how to do reset .. nothing in manual ..so i look online , next to fk all either except for a different unit to mine.

so i send sena an email and tell them about the problem, they responded with the instruction which were pretty clear and concise ( but why arent they in the instruction manual ).. anyway i performed said factory resets on both units .., re-paired both units back to our fones and then again tried to pair both helmets to each other.

AND STILL THEY REFUSE TO PAIR !!!!!!  .. so after another bunch of emails back and forth to sena about how i am trying to pair them,  and me telling them i am doing everything exactly how they are explaining it .. also how it says in the instruction book .. AND  also how the sen youtube video instructions explain it , they finally send me this !!!

jonathan , i cant imagine why you would want a video except for you are maybe suggesting i am doing it wrong , i can assure you i am following your written instructions which are exactly the same as the sena youtube video . im not sure how you think a video is going to help you to be honest other than observing me pressing the buttons in the correct sequence ?.

escalate the issue ?? .. wtf ! 

so i took them back to the shop in perth ( helmet house) .. told them the issue and ended up leaving them there for them to send back to sena , i eventually get a reply from them saying they could find nothing wrong ( but we will keep them one more day for further investigation) .. anyway around 3 days later i get a message to say come and collect them  but at this point im back offshore and wont be home for a while.

they explain to me that they have " modified " the units so they pair with just one touch directly after switching on,... i say thats fine but thats not how it is meant to be done according to manual and i want them to working as per manual instructions in case i ever sell them.

anyway i get back home and go to collect them and they are exactly how they have explained .. granted it is easy to pair but still not as per instructions, so we have a discussion and i agree to take them and see how it goes.

due to going away on holiday we didnt really get to use them that month, so another 8 weeks or so went by and then this time home we decided to do a run down to albany for a few days .. 25 mins into the ride and my wifes sf2 is telling her low battery and shortly there after it shut down, i was convinced i had charged both units but thought maybe i had left it on or something overnite . So i got charger out and charged it on the bike while riding for a while , my  sf4 unit had been fine so i took it off my helmet clicked it onto hers and took hers off charge and clicked onto my helmet .

another 25 mins or so into the ride and shes telling me low battery again but goes a little longer this time before shutting down , her unit that i put on my helmet had given me no warning of low battery .. so i puller over and i swapped the units back to our own helmets again .. i switched the units both on and the one that had shut down fired up with no problem ( my sf4) .. hers also fired up ok but then a further 30 mins down road and low battery again.

so to me thats telling me theres a problem with her unit recepticle .

ive emailed sena 4 days ago and detailed the problem .. NO RESPONSE .. wtf !!!

anybody else had a similar issue ?
