just recently purchased both these units so can chat to wife whilst riding , from day one ive had issues trying to pair the helmets but after dicking around for some time i managed to get them to pair , any way ive googles and youtubed the shit out of it on instructions to do it correctly and still they refuse to pair according to these instruction .. and still after about 10 mins or so fking around i somehow get them paired.

so i contact the place i bought them for online and they tell me either contact sena direct , or do a factory reset on both units ..ok no worries i thought !!! .. get the manual out and look for intsruction on how to do reset .. nothing in manual ..so i look online , next to fk all either except for a different unit to mine.

so i send sena an email and tell them about the problem, they responded with the instruction which were pretty clear and concise ( but why arent they in the instruction manual ).. anyway i performed said factory resets on both units .., re-paired both units back to our fones and then again tried to pair both helmets to each other.

AND STILL THEY REFUSE TO PAIR !!!!!!  .. so after another bunch of emails back and forth to sena about how i am trying to pair them,  and me telling them i am doing everything exactly how they are explaining it .. also how it says in the instruction book .. AND  also how the sen youtube video instructions explain it , they finally send me this !!!

    Hello, Mark

haha .. not many wifes are to happy to let you buy two harleys at the same time .. she loves to come riding and it is hard to communicate without them as both bikes are pretty loud : ) .. i have plenty of time apart from her as it is with my work !

ive returned both units back to the shop now for them to sort out one way or another ... its just sena,s response that gave me the shits ..i mean really !!! , how the fk is a video going to do them any good, i cant record two helmets at one and how i am supposed to record them not pairing is beyond me .
this was my response to them afterthat email .

jonathan , i cant imagine why you would want a video except for you are maybe suggesting i am doing it wrong , i can assure you i am following your written instructions which are exactly the same as the sena youtube video . im not sure how you think a video is going to help you to be honest other than observing me pressing the buttons in the correct sequence ?.

and now his reply back again .

    Hello, Mark

I do believe you have done the exact steps i was just asking a short video because i will escalate the issue to our management
    Thank you,
    Jonathan

Just ask for a refund and walk away from Sena.  I have no idea of their quality but there are other options out there.  What does the local Harley stealership have on offer as the granny glide set of folks must ask for these all the time?
