Well I've found a cracker deal on a nice sportster 300km from home (but I work in this the town)
However I'm still on my restricted licence for a few more months.

So I'm simply thinking of riding the bike home (ridden mates 883 before)

Now its rather stock other than stage 1 pipes/filter ect ect.

How ever it has the plate mounted on the belt guard and I figure this will a cop magnet so wanting a quick easy way I can attach it to the rear.

I didn't bring a helmet out this week and I'm not spending $100 on a adverage helmet I'll never use again. So it won't be happening for 2 weeks. In the mean time I am trying to get a quote for transport.

I may even try to buy it and store it locally for a few weeks in a storage locker or at motel we stay at (work boys used to keep push bikes chained up with owners permission for months in warmer months) just want to strike while the irons hot so to speak.

I won't be able to tow it behind the work car. So it would mean take privite car on weekend. Plus getting a tow pack sorted on it.

He has got a rear luggage rack I'm thinking of using tape the bottom of plate to stop it rubbing.
Or use some cut rubber edgeing or similar.

Normally I wouldn't care to much but bike is 2k under market value. Plus he is sick of tyre kickers so I'm just going to wave a wad full of cash arround and hope he take its.
Has 7500 on it I've maxed out my daily limits and have 7k cash. Which I think is fair and not a low ball offer.

Trailer it...  WAY to risky to invest $7k and then throw it away riding the bike uninsured.

Is that the one in emerald?
I used some 3M double sided tape and stuck it to the fender on my old bike. It stayed there for over 12 months and I still see it getting around stuck in place. Its the thicker stuff like what's on GoPro mounts.
