Fuel tank upgrade

    Hi , have a 2012 48 sportser and want to upgrade the fuel tank as the peanut tank only holds a tiny 2.1 gal . I have heard that a 883 iron or nightser tank bolts straight on. Has anyone done this upgrade and are they happy with how it looks. Churr

    I put the big tank from (I think) a super low on my 48. Very happy, wouldn't go back to stock
    Biggest deal was adjusting the mirrors to not hit the tank at full lock but still function decently, I ended up getting mirror extenders which helped a bit ...  its basically the same as this vid with same fuel cap too except chrome which looks great

    Yeah i like that tank...thats the 4.5 gallon one I think. 
    Would look good on my sporty as well.  Where did you get yours from?

    I was lucky enough to find the tank, like new, on ebay for a decent price

    Bugger...the best I can find atm is about $500US for a Paughco 4.5 Gallon Custom Gas Tank 2007-2018 (part number 836xl2)
