Hi all, I’m a newbie here (Michael) from sunny Tassie. I had a 2005 VRod until a few years ago (ex wife story)...anyway I’m looking to get another bike and until today was sure it would be another VRod muscle. Saw a Breakout 114 and thought it looked pretty cool.....so my question is, has anyone rode a 2018 or 2019 BO114 as well as a recent (2016-17) VRod?
    What is the comparison?

    What should I buy?

    Appreciate any thoughts.

Test ride both and see what you like better, which suits your needs and intended usage, and go from there.
    Good luck ??

I know bikes are a personal thing, I get that, we all have different tastes in style and practicality, my 2 cents is ride as many models as you can and ride them as hard as would like to ride to see what feels best to you, I've had mates with both bikes, you might find the one that fits best is neither of the two, can't hurt anyway.

Yeah....  Ask 100 folks and you will get a 100 different answers.
Certainly the ONLY thing they will agree on is that Tassy is NOT sunny...lol

And for me...get the breakout, the vrods are not even a harley but a honda plot.

    Hi Mick,
This will get me in trouble with many, but a stock 114 Breakout will feel slow compared to a Vrod. Until you hit I'd say Stage 2. Then they'd be comparable. Test ride both and see what feels more you. Just my 2c.

Richardsons Harley down there were great to deal with when I brought a new bike. Let me ride every model on the showroom floor
plus a couple they had modified. Simon was great to deal with
