New Tyre.

This morning I went down to a bike shop in Penrith, the same place I've been buying tyres from for over 30 years to order a new rear Dunlop to fit my Electra glide. This will be the 3rd rear and number 2 front that I've had fitted from there on me EG alone, 1 front and 2 rears on my sportster as well, and most of the previous 16 bikes from the past I've owned.
    This was the conversation.
Hello mate, I want to get a tyre fitted please.
    Sure, what is it .
A Dunlop, here's a picture of the old label from the old tyre. I show him my phone.
    What's it for.
    A Harley Electra glide.
No mate, sorry, don't touch Harleys. Too much trouble.
No mate, I will bring the wheel in, I just want a tyre fitted and balanced.
No, won't do it. Try mca around the corner.
Over 30 years of spending my money there. I'm pissed off. Any recommendations for a tyre place that fits and balances around western Sydney?

That must be nice to have so much business to knock back a paying customer.
    What a tosser.
Can't help with another shop you way. Someone will chime in for sure.

Gee. What’s not to like about an eg tyre change short of taking the hard bags off.
Edit: Do you have to take the pipes off?

I told the bloke that I was bringing the wheel in, all they had to do was fit it and balance it and take my money.
I refuse to pay someone to take a wheel out of a bike.
    I'm genuinely pissed off.
    30 fucking years.
But yes mate , it's not a 10 minute job to get the rear wheel out. Unless you have you beaut stand.

L A Cycles Hoxton Park fit & balance tyres
Chivo's at Parramatta fit & balance might be closer
And MCA , but I have never used them personally for tyres, just bought other things there.

I've never seen this bloke there before, he was, I'm guessing, the service dept manager.
    Doesn't like Harleys.

Doesn't like Harley riders more like, guess one of us screwed his missus, I'd sack the flogger if he turned away an easy job like that if it was my shop.

Went to Hawkesbury Honda today, at Windsor.
Done deal, fitted next Saturday week, and they asked me to turn up at 10am tomorrow for the free sausage sizzle.
Fuck Penrith, they can lick my filthy arse.

Get yourself some balance beads and then fit tyres anywhere including car tyre places.
