What would you do? I would go to a different mechanic (tech) and park my bike in proper parking area's (places)

Thanks for your input but it's covered by warranty and Harley assist so there's no point having those things if I'm not going to use them and in this state it's perfectly legal to park on the footpath.

Got the bike back last night. They couldn't find what the issue was, just pulled the main fuse and reset the system and now it's all back to normal. So not really a fix but it's going all the same.

The steering lock on the Street is right on the ignition so she uses it every time she parks. It was on when the incident occurred.

No out of pocket expense for her also means we won't bother pursuing anything further, I just hope it's not going to be a blow to her confidence in riding and parking around the city.

The HD mechanic has fixed nothing really.
As an experiment, with the bike in your garage, have the alarm/immobilizer armed then move the bike - see if same issue occurs. If it does,  get HD to sort it out under your warranty. No good removing main fuse each time if this were to happen again!

Glad to hear you got the bike back and all is ok.
Would be nice if we could park on footpaths as well in the NT, we are now allowed to lane split so hopefully parking on footpaths will be allowed some time in the near future.

Exactly! I will look at doing that over the weekend and see if I get the same results.

I don't think the experience should hurt her confidence mate. Look at it as a learning experience.
I don't usually park on the pavement but.  Are you sure that is allowed?
If it had happened to me there would have been serious trouble for the construction mob.
