Cooktown

    6 of us road from Townsville to Cooktown yesterday and back again today, went up to Cairns cause one of them wanted to see the Harley shop, then Port Douglas and up the rex to Mount Molloy for lunch, from there to Lakeland and on to Cooktown.
    Went up to the lookout cause apparently that's what you do the to the Sovereign for a couple of beers.
    Backtracked from there to the Lion's Den where we stayed the night, it's been done up a bit facility wise and I'd go there again no worries. 
    Had a good feed, $25 for a 400 gram T-bone with garlic prawn topper, smashed a few more beers and swagged it.
    The ride back to Lakeland for breakfast then onto Mareeba, Atherton and down the Palmerston, then cross country to the Silkwood pub for a break, back onto the highway and home.
    Was a good trip with some good lads, a couple of hairy moments here and there but no real dramas, a few pics to look at.

    looks amazing GM love Mareeba & Atherton Table lands went Thru  that way many moons ago on my around Oz adventure  riding my Trusty Triumph as a young snot

    Would ave been a great ride, with a few mates,beers  and the lovely  Atherton wonky table roads, what a blast. Contrast to my current locale. 15 degrees, wind, rain, with pissible hail expected in some areas.Ha.

    Or mine 36 today hotter than a honeymoon suite! Took the jetski out and it was too hot even for that
