1984, the book by George Orwell was a book we had to read in school to stop us all from going mad.
1984 seemed so far in the future then.(in 78).
    FARK!
Oh well, 2084 is only 64 years away. At least we all have something to look forward to.

Was 20 years old in 1984, ages ago!
Also had to read it at school. Read it again just recently, hard going this time, felt I was going mad the more I read, strange book.

Got to agree Stevo. Read that one twice as I was sure the first time most of it went in one eye and out the other.
I liked the parts about the motorcycle trip with the Sunderlands' on the BMW and Pursigs' kid and so on but the really big musings on Phaedrus, quality, etc and his own madness left me thinking only a really mad person could understand where he is coming from. Good for him the book made him millions, having money sure takes a lot of stress out of life and the bloke needed that.

George Orwell had to read Animal Farm at High School. (Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others).
