Been planning to replace the rear shocks on the Sporty with a set of chrome covered units (off a Fat Bob) that ave been sitting in the cupboard for the past few months.  Finally just bite the bullet today and took the plunge - a bit of grinding to get the right clearance and she turned out quite nice in the end.  Next is the upswept exhaust pipes and with any luck I can do them before headed back to work.

They do look the goods, but do they work ok?

They are set on the maximum preload atm and feel too hard.  Buggered if I know where my adjusting tool is so will have to pop down to the dealer and borrow their one to wind it down to min.

speed, I'd agree that the 60 kgs. difference would be the main contributor factor. They were always a nice looking shocker though, long as they don't throw you over the bars.

Update:  Readjusted the spring pre-load to its minimum and she rides sweet!  So - Sporty + Fatbob rears shocks + 90kg rider is a good mix.
