New HD upgrade oil pump to suit M8 HD PtNo 62400247. Have checked and not available in Australia yet.

Deputy Dog, not sure where you got that info mate, a few guys on here have already had the new pump installed. I ordered mine late December and should have it end of February. 

Sorry Doc, I should have said nil stock in Aust. I tried to get get one through Perth Harley. S&S might have to do. Cheers

All good mate, the HD pump isn't too pricey, I can check but think its just over $260 for new pump and cam plate, but you'll probably have to wait. 

Any more info on this update? What's the benefit of the new pump over the old one? Is is just for Touring or Softail as well?

Hey mate, pump fits both softies and tourers, new design with improved scavenging meant to reduce likelihood of sumping (hopefully) also has a seal on the back of the pump which I believe acts like a one way valve. Haven't heard any negative reports yet, as opposed to all the other pump revisions on the m8 engine. Figured I'd upgrade while in there doing my cam as fairly economical. 

I believe they were up to vetsion 5,  late last year. And were available then. So if they now saying not available YET in Australia. I reckon they have another newer version.

Steamer, you can get the latest 8 lobe version, it'll just be slow turning up. Ordered mine end of December,  due end of February.
