Soft brake rear brake pedal for tourer

Hey guys, one of the things that I wasn’t happy with in my ultra was how high the rear brake pedal was and so close. I purchased and installed a replacement which moves the pedal 4cm forward and reduced the height about an inch. Wasn’t cheap $446AUD (take off the floorboard extension hardware which I didn’t need due to already had them on due to aftermarket exhaust) about $336AUD landed but what a difference it has made with comfort. Any Tourer owners would appreciate that. Install about 30 mins to an hour. Once again I have surplus stuff,,, anyone want some floorboard extensions...

Thanks rt. What’s it like on the road?

Only sat on it so far and it’s a big improvement. Give it a road test in the next day or two. But just sitting there the pedal is just able to be applied so much easier. Don’t have to lift foot up which I was doing because of the sharp angle from my heal. Hope that makes sense. I guess due it it being 4cm forward and lower.

Good man. I look forward to your review. I know exactly what you mean. When preparing for a corner, you feel like a nervous nellie with the right foot poised up in the air preparing to brake.

I know people who have cut bits out of stock brake pedals and re-welded them. Then got em chromed to look stock so that it suits the individual.
Stuff generally gets designed to suit the average sized person.
Of course not everyone is average.
In fact only average people are, which makes it hard for designers to please everyone.
The really old houses here in Hobart were made to suit the average Pommy cunt or Pommy convict in the early 1800"s. They sure were short fuckers, a lot of the doorways you really need to duck under when passing through.

Oh yeah, Good on you Robbo for giving stuff away you legend.

Hey Steelo did a quick run to Three Rivers Hotel 250km eachway and the Softbrake Rear Brake Pedal is the goods. Easy to find quickly ( had to go off-road for road trains on a skinny bit road), right where it should be placed at the factory. Thumbs up from me.
