    Hi All
Said I wasn't to be a stranger this year! Did a quick run west of Brisvegas this morning, went exploring on the Sporty and nearly ran out of fuel 8L v's 18L on the Breakout..lol. Note to self: Remember which bike your on when having fun! Given I ride here quite often [well not this road] I cant believe how GREEN the countryside is! The last two years have been pretty brown due to the drought, amazing the change in a few weeks! Cant imagine how it is south after the fires? Did Ravensbourne last Saturday, that seems to be cumming back after the fires in November! So on my point of green, just like to point out the amount of bugs you get to sample! My staple diet this morning was Butterflies and Grasshoppers, they both taste like chicken, but the latter stings like a bastard! Last pic is when I thought I had the bike clean and pulled him out from behind the triple tree!

Yours is a 103 or bigger? Reason I ask is, mines a 103 [slightly tweaked] on the Breakout, still have the dealer service as I paid for and extended warranty [for what thats worth??], Came across and article recently with 103/107's that suggest you should disconnect the plugs and cycle the engine over 10 cranks to purge to shitty oil from the system when doing an oil change??? Any thoughts???

Cranking still turns over the oil pump.
I use a hose on the return port to stop the dirty oil returning to the sump tank on my Dyna, just remove the dipstick cover.

There are some threads about doing a Full Oil change about, and there was a kit you could buy.
I just used a nylon hose barb that I slightly reduced in O/D to fit into the return port. I also have a cut down old filter I use to avoid contaminating the he new one with old oil.
I average about 2 litres of dirty oil before the clean stuff starts coming through.

103 stock std motor wise. There is a tool you can get that purges all the oil out of the motor as well as wastes a little bit of fresh stuff. I have never done it myself . I do crank the motor over with the leads off after an oil change to prime the pump to stop it rattling on startup to get the lifters pumped up.
