    That looks interesting Dicko.
Do you have to pack powder into each cylinder chamber, then push in the shot each reload?.
That would get tense with a bunch of injuns charging at you.
    Have you fired it yet?

Bought these brand new tapered turbo performance mufflers for an evo softail. Found them on eBay USA. Was a bit of a risk as whilst the seller stated they were brand new, he said they were unbranded. I don’t think they make these anymore, at least for an evo. Bought them ages ago but they only made it to my door yday. Brand new alright and branded khromewerks so they’re essentially the same as the s&s ones.

Yeah, I have fired it , The spout on the can is the black powder measure.Place hammer on half cock, Tip flask up with finger over spout, release the lever. and pour into cylinder.
Place ball on top and use the loading ram under the barrel to press it in. Load 5 not 6 .
Place a percussion cap on each nipple  and release hammer on empty cylinder. (so you dont shoot off your foot while jiggling along on your horse.)
Remove all the arrows from your body, from the indians who were charging while you did this.
    And your ready to fire.

They are a good muffler, did you end up finding a set for the Dyna?

Got one of these coming, my leg rubs on the air cleaner, as much as I love the look of the round Evo cover it annoys me on longer rides, had a heavy breather on the Dyna for awhile, leg room was good, so see how this pans out.

Dickson looks good, a friend of mine. Used to target shoot with one. He gave me a few goes at targets. Had to wait for smoke to clear before second shot. He used same type measure, I think he also used oats to fill up space or something? Also he used to put vasoline around the ball, he said that stops any black powder getting shocked out and burning when you fire it. As the other 5 cylinders in revolve are loaded. Enjoy

I’ve ridden Harley’s since late in the 1970’s, never been without one & always ridden them. Never worried me. I’ve used all types of controls, but these day’s I would not have forward controls, as I tend to turn into a parashute ( legs forward arms forward, wind in chest ) at speeds. I also prefer more air space behind the carb or TB, so mine stick out more too.

My knees and hips won't stand for mids Krash, Harley shop loaned me the 750 street when they changed the brake fluid in my abs bike a couple of years back, I nearly crashed it getting out of the car park cause cramp hit me so hard, ain't as old as you but I hope I'm still riding at your advanced years, first rode a Harley in 1985, I was 20, now I'm 55, so what, air cleaner rubs my leg, it's going.

I know what you mean Hilly - the 750 set-up is for those with duck legs. That bike is for a particular market that ain’t me.
On the parachute issue with forwards, if if I’m riding a bit of distance or know it’s going to be a faster ride, I put the rear backrest on my Mustang seat. Locks me into the seat more and makes the Fat Bob’s forwards very workable. I thought the current Fat Bob’s forwards were a better compromise in some ways.

Gday Hilly. Yeah got a pair of new condition s&s tapered turbo mufflers For the dyna. Got street bob headers. All chrome but will get them coated all in black if I decide to use them. The dyna has a supermeg 2-1 which I might keep on as it’s a good pipe and I can add discs and put a closed end cap on if I need quiet for early mornings and long trips. I know you’re a fan of these mufflers. I love em too. Good performance all over, good sound and they look stock. Win, win, win

I'd be very interested in your results. I got a ventilator on my Sport Glide because it was low profile, but like the look of the heavy breather.
Used to get leg cramps a lot when riding, but not since getting this bike with forward controls.

Good stuff Hilly. I prefer the look of the more compact se elite breather or whatever they call it compared to the normal heavy breather. Better for leg room too.
Would you ever put the big bore 117 kit on your slim s? I know you can also buy aftermarket bolt on 113 cylinder/piston kits if you want slightly more thickness. I think you’re pretty handy With the tools and could do it yourself?

    Cheers, Bat

Gday garry good to hear from you mate. Didn’t think you and some of the other fellas got into this forum much anymore. I’m back in Australia now and when weather warms up would be good to catch up on a ride or two with you and some of the other fellas that used to be on here. Hope you’re well and happy mate. And agree with your thoughts about the supermeg and the to mufflers too. You And Hilly know your shit so if I’m doing things you guys reckon is ok, I know I’m doing alright
Dunno if the 2-2 street bob headers (black coated obviously) suit the dyna low rider s. Never seen one with the staggered street bob headers before as most people put a 2-1 pipe on to replicate the Californian club style. But with the tt mufflers it’d look stock to police and rta and the sound isn’t too obnoxious either. Probably sounds better than the supermeg and performance would be similar I reckon.

For the springer I’ll fit up the tt mufflers today and see how they go. I’ve got another complete 2-2 fishtail system for the springer stored at a mates house interstate. The 2-2 is side by side and pretty unique.

How about this little number, did not buy it today though. Bought it from a garage sale in Sydney about 35 years ago.
I have never fired it. It is approx 230mm/9 inch long and has a blunderbuss type barrel that tapers from woe to go. 20mm dia bore at the business end.

Wow! that looks the goods , A bit of black powder a and whatever you stuff down there , add a percussion cap and it will fire.
( do not use modern smokeless powder.)
you don't have load with shot/wads or lead round balls, load it with black powder  and jam some candle wax and watch the smoke cloud.
I'm sure i saw jack sparrow using this in a movie???
does it have markings , serial numbers , to relate it o which pirate used it.????
