While we're on the subject, what's this (not the fucking bottle)
The gadget is very well made and seems to contain mercury which flows down into the shaft when upended.

Apparently theyre called bleating tree frogs. They can make quite a racket when they want to.

Bleating Tree frogs aye BB, never heard of that variety, I have heaps of green tree frogs in the palm trees around my pool, they can get a racket going when they all join in together.

Looks like a mercury vapour lamp to me!!!Current passes through the vapour , turns it to a gas which then emits light.
