    RIP Le Frog.
I met the guy years ago while holidaying in tassie with my family. I bought a set of shocks and a pump from him for my Electra Glide.
    Seemed like a nice bloke.

    RIP Bertrand.
Have mine that would probably be around $1000 hazard a guess to send and do their thing with them, and send back 6 months later.
Have dismantled one with broken lower screw off section,  and getting lower piece manufactured that broke, $300.
Will re-assemble them and work out what fluid to replace with as the seals are ok, see how I go.
Can work out the volume from the one that hasn't been disassembled as yet, as all the seals are ok, see how I go, but can anyone help me with the type of fluid to use?
If that doesn't work out they are going to be put in my spares bin. The Fornales worked far better than the bloody OEM have had to wack back on, spent 1/2 day-changing fluid and getting them to work half reasonably, plus they are 13 inches which I liked.

    RIP

Not sure what it means long term for Fournales but I had my shocks with him for a rebuild. For the time being shocks will need to go back to France for any work such as rebuilding.

shocks had always been sent back to France for rebuilds, about $375-$400 from memory.

his daughter has taken over Fournales Australia
sent me a bottle of Pinor Noir from Tassie after i bought my front shock of him, nice thought
he did love his red wine.

    Dear friends.
Received this E'Mail from Fournales today

    My name is Pierre CAFFIN
I hope that this message finds you well,
I am extremely sorry for the lack of information and correspondence you have received from Bertrand Cadart.
He has unfortunately passed away after a 3 year battle with cancer. I am now trying to respond to all unanswered emails from his inbox.
I was in copy of that email he sent you.
Fournales Australia has closed down, I’ve opened a new company: Fournales Pacific, I’m bringing some shocks in the country in about 15 working days.
I’ll be able to repair shocks here in Australia in a couple of months, I need some special tool to do so and they are in the process of making them and sending them here.
Let me know if I can do anything to try and help a few people that are in the need for either a repair, exchange or new pairs for their HD.
    Best regards,
    Pierre Caffin

Nice one Steelo, I do hope that Pierre is, how can I put it diplomatically, not so overpriced as his predecessor.
