HDI 1156 from indicator wiring rather than 1157

    Sad to discover my AU spec ‘18 Street Bob only supports a 1156 spec wired front indicator, so can’t easily fit (say) a Custom Dynamics indicator/DRL upgrade. Does anyone know if internally the wiring is still there to easily convert back to 1157 without needing to drill holes and run external wiring?

    Thanks for the link, looks like. Good range of product.
    They have the lights, but the problem is with only the single turn wire going to the 1156 socket (as opposed to two wires, one for turn and on for running light that a front 1157 has, or the turn/brake combo at the rear) you’re still left with the wiring issue

    ok .. i  was looking at changing my indicators to leds .. apparently they just plug right in .. have to get the international ones though

    If switching just the indicator to LED you can simply replace them (though ore-CANbus may need a load balancer). If you want them to show white when not flashing amber then you need the extra “always on” wire... standard in a 1157 socket and wiring, but not in the 1156 ...
