Hi All, went for a run on the weekend with a couple of mates who have 2018/19 Cruiser's (Ultra and a Road Glide). Both have had tyre issues with splits developing between what I would describe as the tread blocks. Factory Dunlop, less than 12k.Yes, they check their pressures before riding! I'm interested to know if anyone else has encountered this with the factory tyre?

I have a 2018 Ultra with no tyre issues in 40,000km, although I am on my 3rd set but no signs of cracking, second set of American Elites.

So a little under 20k a set mickle. That seems ok.

About to replace a rear American Elite 19000klm on the rear. They are VERY pressure sensitive. 41 cold on the rear. Have done over 50k on a few sets and never had an issue with cracking.

My 2012 street glide looses pressure regularly. I have a spare rear rim and tyre and that does the same.

Beware Sunshine Coast HD with their free delivery service. I booked the bike in to get the rear Tyre done last week and told them i need it picked up today and delivered back this arvo. They offer a free pickup and delivery service. They were here within 2 minutes of the quoted time for the pickup...great service. At midday my scheduled video meeting was delayed so i drove to the dealer to pay the $305 bill and they told me that the bike would be delivered at 4 pm. After back to back video conference at 4:50pm i called them to inquire about the bike to be told...."oh yes we will deliver it tomorrow sometime hope thats ok...". Sadly the bike was headed to Hervey bay so thats not going to happen. Over promise and under deliver at its best

My '19 Softail has just hit 20K and I have plenty of life left in my tyres. And I will admit I'm a little negligent when it comes to checking pressures.

Thanks for the feedback Gents, my mate has managed to source some Elites! I',m up for a new front on the Breakout and have decided on a Metzler to match to 260 rear! Got 36k out of the first Dunlop and this ones run 28k, bit dissapointed! Anyway see how the Metzler runs, booked in next week for 64k service and new tyre! Then a quick 1400klm's weekender!
