remove battery cover band

    hi
    how can i remove the chrome battery cover band?

    it looks,like only has two knob things on the back. not screws? 

    hammer?

    dremel them of flush, then drill them out, couple fancy bolt heads to fill the holes

    Hammer??

    Be aware, the little plastic knobs aren’t the only thing holding it on, there is adhesive tape in multiple places also. I had a bland corrugated aluminium trim on mine, absolutely destroyed It trying to get it off, I put the one with the wide glide script on, it comes with the adhesive but not the little black piece of plastic with the knobs on it, it hasn’t flown off.

    You can just buy a plain black one from HD, think mine was $30?

    are you just trying to de-chrome it .. why not just spray it black first and see how it looks before u destroy it ?
