Frizzles were fitting these up before they closed last year. Obviously Screaming Eagle Supertuner pro was gone.

One of my riding mates "downsized" from a 2010 Ultra limited (tuned by me for 255 cams etc) to an 2019 M8 Streetbob.

At 74 the Ultra was becoming too heavy for him so he took the hint.

The M8 Streetbob seems to go allright ( as Fugly as a fugly thing of course).

Now I have not played with this bike (yet) but the day will come. What he has is the "Physical product" AKA a black dongle.

This bike was a 0 K's Demo , all the chit was on it already , so no individual price on this unit but mate reckons "$600" !

The new Highway Harley are using Maximus as well I hear. Trouble is it is meant to void yer warranty if the MOCO get even a sniff ??

Perhaps I will have to dig up the Software and have a look.

Sorry that was no fuggen help mate , just pointing out they have been in WA probably a year+

I still have 2 brand new unopened boxed Supertuner Pro dongles  ,for "Ron"...later on...

Couple of blokes on here have them, getting common in the east, think they had others tune them though, looks decent on paper, keen to see what you make of it.

I have not yet worked on any M8 engine bikes. Almost all would still be under the 2 year warranty.

Also interested to hear how this request goes.

Just had a stage 1 tune put on my 2018 Deluxe, and used one of these from Rollies.  It's just a little red USB ($429) however your mechanic MUST have the techno gear to be able to use it.  He pulugs it in, downloads some stuff, takes your bike for a run in traffic, under load (gives it a bootful) and other varying conditions of riding. Unlike a tune done on a dyno with forced air and no change in atmospheric conditions, this works on real world riding.  He then takes what the bike did on the run and overlays a program in for the bike.  Worked great on my bike!

do you find your idle is a bit erratic at times  ? ..  my 103 1014 ultra was fine and idled perfectly all the time  ... however both my m8 ultra and sportglide seem to idle quite high which annoys me a bit , ultra has this tuner but the sportgilde doesnt

I was provided with one of these as part of the Stage 1 tune for my M8 Sport Glide when I bought it new. I doubt it would affect the warranty in Australia because that would be illegal. MoCO's attitude is irrelevant since the contract is with the Dealer. That means it's them that are taking the risk.

Having said that, I wasn't provided with an interface cable, I'm guessing my warranty would be at risk if I bought one and tried to alter anything.

Unless you have the specific program, you can't do anything.  The program is something like 5K from memory, but don't quote me on that, and they provide the training on how to use it etc etc.

If you have the physical Maximus you can download the needed software for free and tune at home till your heart is content like any of the flash tuners, if you only have the key then it's off to the dyno shop that uses technoresearch to tune with.
Pic of what I mean by Maximus.....

I have the physical Maximus, just no cable.
There is no key. The device itself is locked to a single bike.

Right back to 2001 the Australian Harley dealers almost never supplied the cables.

When I first "innocently asked" in 2007 if I could order a 4 pin deutsch connector cable I was told ( true story!)

"That is a factory tool , why would you want that ?"

I pointed out to Frizzles that it was listed as a part number for individual purchase. And that "I wanted to play around with my 2006 EFI Dyna"

SO I ordered one direct from a Harley Dealer stateside and had it in a week.

Some time later I did the same for the 6 pin cable ( 2011 I think)

Now I have doubles and trebles gathered up over the years.

It is no surprise that you don't get cables from Aussie dealers , I mean "that is a factory tool , why would you want that?" haha...

My mate did not get them from Frizzles. Just the black dongle. I wonder how similar/same they are as the Supertuner pro cables ?

They sure look very similar from the photos attached by Grease Monkey , they 'could" maybe be the same , hard to tell 100%

Early SERT , Super tuner Pro and TTS the cables are well nigh interchangeable.

Well we know for sure what one end on each cable will be mate :) the other two depend on what they have used on the dongle.

Having had a third CLOSER look they are not the same as SupertunerPro.

My mate will need to buy/get the cables. Quite possible that Frizzles did not pass them on , as the bike was a 0 K's "demo"

I wonder how it would react to reading the base tune from a PV
  • Retroman

It would probably advance on the premise that the bike was "stock".

That's how TTS works anyway. You have to save the "stock" ECM cal to proceed further in the reflashing procedure.

Even if it's a Supertuner Pro stage 2 cal or whatever is in there , it is saved in TTS as the OEM stock cal

TTS of course then "locks" the ECM from any other system , has done since a long time , 2012/13 onwards maybe

Maybe this Maximus don't work that way , and you can flip/flop back and forth with Powervision.

Question is , is you have an EXPENSIVE Powervision already , why would you need or want this Maximus gig ?
