i would like to see that on the world news .. oh yes !!!

You won't though unfortunately wello, it doesn't suit the current narrative.
She's a very sensible and impressive lady and you don't have to sit through the whole thing to get the idea of what she's saying.

I saw some of George Floyd's funeral coverage on the news this evening and you would nearly think the coppers had killed mother Theresa.

i wasnt actually aware the guy had such a long rap sheet .. and some of the things he had done were pretty shocking ..
she has hit that nail right on the head and drove it all the way in as far as i am concerned .

did the cops know who he was before they tried to arrest him , it didnt appear to on the video but i could easily be wrong and he may have been known to them to put up a fight in the past , what troubles me was the amount of time he was on the floor without moving before they even attempted to do anything.
i still think cops need to be more tolerant though.

I suspect maybe the coppers did know his form which is possibly why they treated him how they did, especially if he did resist at some point. There are a couple of videos on line, one from a security camera where they initially got him out of his vehicle and put him against a wall. Then they moved him across the road to the police car (I think where he eventually ended up on the ground) and he seemed mostly compliant for what you see in that.
From there the other ones I saw only show the one, or multiple cops on top of him holding him down, nothing of him resisting anywhere. It's pretty poor form by the copper who kept his knee on his neck when he couldn't possibly do too much. Clearly the guy was in trouble and the copper either didn't realise just how much or didn't care. I reckon he cares now though.

I think that all these protesters for whatever cause , should take precautions to stop the thugs rioters thieves looters etc from piggybacking into their cause .
In this case an action by police arresting a criminal has been used by thugs on the pretence of a cause.
The genuine protesters have been overrun by looters thieves and opportunists. Hope this Australian lot has more common sense
I dont see how looting rioting etc will further any cause.

So now the spotlight is on us.....how will our police behave when the protests in Sydney that have been declared illegal take place today. I am confident that they wont kneel on anyone's neck but should they arrest protesters or just let them break the law? After seeing the aboriginal lady speak this morning on the news she has a firm belief that "your" laws dont apply to "our mob"  Interesting day ahead.

Agree - who would want to be a cop.   I assume when she said this she did not mean any welfare payments / benefits - "your" laws dont apply to "our mob".

Looking at the numbers and crowding in the protests yesterday (large but small per population) it makes a complete mockery what we've dealt with for the last few months, distancing rules and numbers allowed at any weddings, funerals and other venues, even being more relaxed as they are now.
They've basically taken a shit on everyone's good work so the precedent has been set. It might as well be back to normal from now on for everyone and let's wait and see if there's another run of the virus.

Like everything else mate, the majority try to do the right thing and the others parasite off their efforts.

An Aboriginal man with an open minded, logical opinion and common sense that doesn't support "the cause". How will the professionally offended and hard done by reconcile themselves with that conundrum, right colour but wrong view?

Some bloke in the Sydney (I think) protest earned the ire of the crowd and got moved on for displaying and "all lives matter" sign. I guess us privileged whites or any other ethnicities really don't matter.

re Some bloke in the Sydney (I think) protest earned the ire of the crowd and got moved on for displaying and "all lives matter" sign. I guess us privileged whites or any other ethnicities really don't matter.

Yeah it is interesting how "Racist" these people are against whites or any other ethnic races. I was listening to the radio the other day and they went through the deaths in custody over the last couple of years. Whilst there were certainly a few Indigenous Australians included per year, the major by far were categorized as not identifying as an Indigenous Australian. Are they protesting about these deaths - of course not.
To me I would like to see equality no matter what race. Of course this would mean taking away all of the special privileges that Indigenous Australians are entitled to that other races are not entitled to.
