    So are you getting a new set under warranty?

    The local stealer will forward my photos to Rollies, but according to Rollies site, they check the paint before shipping, then after shipping its not their business. Buyers have to take the responsibility to "repaint" from time to time. 
    Don't think I can get replacement, but if they can reimburse some money for a repaint, I am happy.

    I had chrome  cross backs on my previous wideglide with no probs. Usually the black paint is a ceramic type and i'm not sure how easy it is to re paint

    I had similar issues with the black coating on supertrapp supermeg hearshields. Two times they were replaced without issue and the third time around had nil issues.

    did they let you keep the old one for a spare?

    Don't think so. Because they asked if I can detach the shield myself.

    You were lucky the pricks wouldn't replace my Heat shields on a set of Freedom Performance declarations when the heat shield bracket broke after only 14kilometres. Had to send them back and they  re welded and re chromed them. Done a shit job and they broke again 6mths later. Couldn't be bothered argueing with them again and pissed them off and got Bassani's. Under Australian warranty laws seller is to replace, repair or refund and that option is the buyers privelidge not the seller. Refuse to deal with Rollies anymore

    Good to know. I will avoid this brand in future too.
