Telstra mobile customers free streaming of NRL and AFL

    With this free streaming of the footy you can watch it on your phone or Ipad.
    Anyone know if you can watch it on your telly?
    I had been told you could get an applebox to view on telly however Mrs FC bought an applebox the other day to watch netflix and it does not seem to work for the footy.
    Any sneaky tricks to get around this?.

    Hey FC , I’m On Telstra but did not know this. But prob only for new customers, for a limited time.
    Check if your telly has Bluetooth , Never used the apple box or Apple TV, but I use iPhone iPad & iMac ,  an link them just like networking, use your blue tooth, post up what you find.

    Not for new customers or limited time Krash, just download the relevent free App (guessing you are NRL) and away you go. You can watch any game live on your phone or Ipad for free.

    Interesting question ,,,,

    I'm with Telstra and get the live footy on the mobile etc,,, Had a conversation with tech head not long ago and asked the same question ,,,
    With all the you bute tech stuff about these days , I thought there would be some way , (I really could;nt give a f-ck it its illeagal ), to get it on the smart TV ,,,, ….. Seems not ,, got to do with encryption , or some other tech term .... No doubt there are people that work for Asio or very smart hackers  watching it on their tv ....
    Then again ,, if someone is talking to a tech head smarter than the one I spoke with ,,, dont be shy and post up ....

    Something I did read the other day is ,,,, Telstra is going to flick the live footy, (I think 2022) ,,, got to to with money rights or whatever ….

    If you could get the nrl on your Telly, they wouldn’t be able to call them “smart” tv’s would they!

    Maybe not Steelo.
    I do like the NRL though, spent 22 years in Sydney and NSWRL was where it was at.
    Now am AFL tragic too.
    I wish the Telstra mobile phone customer service would include this fascinating game as well that a fellow forumite recently bought to our attention.
    Might not be exactly SMART but seems to be highly entertaining and funny. Just in case anyone missed it.
