1991 electra classic evo 1340

    Hey Guys,
    After some help please.

    I currently have a 1991 electra glide classic. 1340

    Motor has been fine and running like a dream.

    But today i had issues with it. Not sure if it is clutch slipping our not getting enough fuel?

    Currently gets in and out of gear fine. Will be riding along and if i try give it more throttle. above 3000rpm  i have no power. Like it is not in gear. All noise & no go.

    Motor runs fine no coughing smoke etc. Just revs out but won't go any faster.

    Fuel was low, but i filled it up and didn't fix the issue.

    Any help would be appreciate. Location in Melbourne south east.

    If it's revving out but not increasing speed, it's your clutch.

    thanks for the reply smokey. So you think it will just need adjusting inside....
    Or sounds like a new clutch. Worried my motor was stuffed.

    Good clean revs and no go is typical clutch slippage...If the revs are breaking up like its misfiring a little then it could be Carb, Coil, Ing module etc.  
    You should hear the revs rise as the clutch slips

    Try adjusting it first. Do you tow a trailer?

    If it's out of adjustment, you could try adding an extra steel plate to the clutch plate stack.
