    As above.
Current stock of these tyres are LHD versions with the running-area off centre to the left of the tread.
This causes the ends of the RH rain sipes to contact the road during upright straight riding, causing an annoying hum.
Fix: tyre groove the pattern symmetrical or stick with Commander IIs

    Interesting.
I noticed the 3s don’t come in the Fatbob size. Not the 2s.
I recall they do them for the Streetglide though. But now ya mentioned it hat ya have... I’ll stick to the 2s if I do switch to them. Cheers

Didn't realise tyres were manufactured for markets dependant upon which side of the road you drive - road camber dependent.
At least this is what I gather you are saying?

Thats why i am confused here...to look at the tread of any bike tire they have identical sipes or grooves on both sides. Most cruiser tires are a dual compound with hard centre section for longevity with softer edge compound for grip

Pauly, the running flat (area with no tread) is actually offset to the LHS of the Commander III touring tyre.. in LHD markets the road camber lets the tyre run on the ungrooved section.
Michelin importer is a mate, he said they have CoVid supply issues and is checking it out.
I just got my groover out and fixed it...

I had a real good look at one when this came up and i cant see any difference between the grooves on the left vs right side of the tire. What sort of offset are we talking about here

Didn't measure it mate, guessing 6-7mm, much more obvious in the hand than an online pic shows. Can't tell now, groover fixed it.

Just turn the tyre around 180 deg so that the offset is on the other side??? this will also help with those bikes that are heavier/wider  on one side and may eliminate your having to lean the other way while riding your lop sided harley????

There ya go! two problems solved at the same time. Fucking brilliant ???
The other solution i found is to put your wallet in the opposite pocket to correct the lean??? It makes your arse 1 inch higher on that side.!!

Only prob doing this,  Wont pump water out if riding in rain.  All treads are directional for a reason

Had a big date the other month. (A woman) I opened up some old condoms I had in my wallet. They’d turned to dust.
I sprinkled them on and went to work.
