This bike is reluctantly for sale. Built from a new bike as the Softail Custom finished in 2010.
It belongs to a good friend of mine who has been medically advised to give up riding at age 82.
Ridden gently. He is the second mature long term owner of the bike since new.
All paperwork history is with me. Tremendous amount of money spent to build this bike from new.
I have offered to sell the bike for him as he is obviously emotionally involved.
I have serviced the bike for quite a few years now and know it well.
Synthetic Penrite oils used throughout every 4,000 K's or annually whichever the sooner.
All the take-off parts are with the bike, quick release panniers and rack etc.
Any questions just ask. To be viewed at my house in Perth WA at mutual convenience.
(The bike is a 2012 model year, first registered in October 2011)

He is after $25K, the market will say if that is appropriate I reckon. Also listed on Gumtree

Turn it into a trike...thats what I plan when I'm edging that age.

No "triking" for this guy. It has/had been suggested and he's a definite NO. Each to their own I suppose.
    Thanks for the thoughts.

Just got to find the right buyer, used car salesman deflated my balloon many years ago about add ons, expectations and reality, I thanked him for his enlightenment and wished him roadkill, he is right though, it's a beautiful bike, right buyer it will sell, might take awhile is all, I know you won't but don't be lowballed.

Well old mate took the bike off the market and on a sunny day I rode it 25 k's back to his house for the winter.
Gunna try again in Spring. This weekend the weather got wet and that will be us off and on until October.
Used Harley market in WA at least is well slow. All 3 Perth metro dealers are loaded up with used bikes not moving.
I only had one genuine looker, but as always he was trying to steal it, no harm in trying.

Agreed, been on the market for 90 days+, non-motivated seller and appears happy to keep for another day.

Don't I know it! perhaps a year or 18 months ago in Perth yes, but times change, and then change back again sometimes.

A good example, a mate of mine changes his bikes all the time, buying and selling ducking and weaving.

2019 he bought a used 2015 Fatboy from Frasers Perth as they wound down to close. $15,990, BARGAIN.

Lovely clean one owner thing, chrome fork lowers etc etc. S&S slip ons

The used Harley market in Perth was well down at the time plus Frasers were moving east (tho' nobody knew !).

He keeps it 18 months, the market changes and he sells it for $18K privately. Reckons he's done REALLY well.

Buys a new M8 streetbob thing , the ugly cunt of a thing , goes off it real quick and sells it at 5 months old, gets his money back.

Goes looking for a "clean twincam 103 Fatboy" and finds PRIVATELY a one owner Fatboy Lo in Maroon. a FIFO kept in the house job.

Downside ? He pays $21K for the fucking thing. Moral of this story ? He shoulda just kept the 2015 Black Fatboy WTF ?

That's what I mean, the market can flip/flop as quickly as that.

    Yes , for $21K.

AND it sold to the guy who first built it in 2011.

Funny old world and all that.

Yes it was strong money I suppose.
