Just spoke to an engineer in Sydney and received the following feedback.

Braking test (including hiring out a track and the analysis) can cost me $10,000.....all I can say is wow?

Lazy update, I am sending the bike away to get the wheel hubs remachined to fit the forks.

Lots of goodies have arrived but I have yet to fit them.

Proper updates will come in a month or so!

    Hey all,

Quick question, anyone know where I can get cheap weld on bungs to hold my rear fender in place?

Also metal tabs to hold rubber mounts for an oil tank. I am thinking of making it myself but that is too time consuming haha.

    Thanks fellas

     Hello All,

Can someone give me advice on this? I need to remove this sprocket and would just like some tips.

    1) Is that the inner race? Do I need to remove this first before I can remove the locknut?

    2) Can this collar be removed? I have a inner primary cover where that collar blocks it from fitting on but if I get rid of this collar its the correct size.

This is a standard early HD 5 speed box.

    Thanks guys,

    Hi...piece of cake:

    - Remove the small allen screw
    - Undo the large Sprocket nut - double check the thread as it may be left handed.  You will have to make a custom socket for this.  I bought a socket, cut it in half and welded in steel tube to make it about 10' long.  that way it fits over the long shaft.
    - Pull the sprocket off
    - Now you can see the inner race

PS:  get a manual!  its bloody expensive if yah screw this setup up.

    Thanks tussuck! This is awesome!

I have images of the manual but its so blurry and hard to determine what the man is doing.

I thought the inner race was to be removed first then the sprocket nut

I am doing exactly what you are doing, just bought myself a 1-7/8" socket and metal pipe. Have some welding to do this weekend.

    Hi Barks,

The man who posted above you, Walka, is the man to go to. He will definitely look after you! He is based in Melbourne.

    Front is 21 x 2.15
    Rear is 16 x 5.5

    Both are 60 spoke.

    Hope that helps

    Hello all,

Just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. When I try to install the inner primary cover it doesnt seem to be able to sit flush with the engine and the gearbox, however when i attach the cover to one or the other it fits perfectly.

So this tells me my frame may be twisted in some way. What can I do?!?!?!

    Thanks

You need to get your Hands on some Steel Shims, Chev Stater Motor one's work the best, You will probaly have to lift up the Gear Box, It's normaly the way when your tyring to convert a 4 Speed Frame to a 5/6 Speed
