Still a few hours needed to finishing shaping and cleaning these up, but here's some progress on the bars. Internal throttle, flush mounted warning lights, and I'll be using hidden buttons intergrated under the left hand grip again at the finger tips to control indicators, high/Lo beam and start. I also changed up to some Beringer master cylinderss too

Will this bike be for sale at the end of the build or is it your personal ride?

Thanks Ray. Not really in a position to order a custom but always excited by something that catches my eye. Usually in a position to buy financially if i wanted.

The right bike is the right bike if you know what i mean. It's hard to justify having two registered bikes when i alreay have two registered utes and only one arse.

Hey everyone! A few updates on the bike. Tanks and tins painted. Relocated the coil behind the bet drive. Bought a pingel Co2 shift kit with ignition killbox for some wide open throttle clutchless gear changes to custom fit....and, a blower lol. Sounds like a good combo right? Should bring the worked 110ci to life. Bought a 2” pulley and clutch from BDL so I can make up a pulley system to run the supercharger in circuit with the open primary. 3” belt would of been too much strain for the blowers snout. But the main reason was this change in primary pulleys not only shortened the gear ratio to the transmission for added acceleration, but it also gave me a higher blower gear ratio to get that blower spinning closer to max rpm. Was aiming for a 3:1 ratio to get 200% overdrive, but after searching the planet and doing a million calculations, 2.88:1 ration was the best we could muster without making the pulley system too complicated for the side of the bike with having to run extra pulleys. This setup will be much less complicated.
Plan is to cut the cross brace out under the backbone, and mount the blower sideways in there. The blower mounts will have extra bracing and be very strong, and when the blowers mounted in there it will all become the new cross brace.

We’ve been busy with a few major builds but we’ve also been working on designing a couple of different frames that will have some exciting new engineering aspects going into them. Will share more on this as we get to development stages

Gidday Squid ... great to see you are still at it ... how is the other beast going , the one with all the engraving .

The one with the blower , when you get it up and running and are ever down this way .. { Willowbank } .. to run it down the strip make sure you drop us a line so we can come and check out your handy work in person .

Still have my 2 Money pits , Lol ... the 99 Springer and 08 Softail ... to be fair I have just about stopped spending money on them as I have added a new member to the never ending Well of financial ruin , a 2017 Road Glide Special .

Giving the Bagger route a go for awhile ... so far so good , just keeping my fingers crossed I escape the couple of issue`s that have already hit the new motors ... time will tell I suppose .

Nice little Stage 4 motor in her ... 128 Hp and 121 Torque ... should keep me happy for awhile ... will be interesting to see what type of figures and times yours pull when you have it all done .

Anyhow keep up the good work and let us all know when you give her / it a run down the strip .

    Cheers ... Tim .

He Tim good to hear you’re we mate. The engraved bike build has been nothing more new other then the occasionally dummy up of different parts to look at different possibilities. Maybe I’ll throw a couple of those pics up on that thread in here for ya.

Definitely give you a buz the day I make it down with it finished, I might need a hand picking up the bottom end pieces down the track after a run if I haven’t already rebuilt by then lol.

What’s the issues on the M8 motors going around? I haven’t heard much of them. Sounds like some healthy numbers there though mate, I gather the other two are gathering dust now?

Blower turned up today. Confirming what info I could find before hand, the blower spins the opposite way to what it needs to to run off the crank. No problems though, some minor work on it on the mill, and small alteration of the rotor gears, we will spin the snout around upside down and have it all spinning the right way with the crank. Man this things going to whine loud at 200% overdriven and in the wind. Will have an engineer go over the designs for the frame chop and new bracing before commencing

Lol ... Mate will be more than happy to help pick up the pieces , but something tells me you will have sorted the bottom end issues , if any of course before you get to far into the project .
Might have sold the 08 Softail , will know for sure in next week or so ... At an incredible loss of course , but we don't play with these addictions to make money do we , Lol ... Will be sad to see the Beast go ... Have been feeling guilty every time I walked in garage and walked past her to new Toy ... Oh well life goes on .

New M8 motors issues are a bit like the early Twin Cam , cam chain adjuster issues that wore out and destroyed motors from 2000 to 2006 until The MoCo changed the design ... Basically the issues were real but world wide the real figures of actual people affected were quite small so Harley didn't admit that there was a real problem ... Didn't help the poor buggers it happened to though .

Couple of the more searious M8 problems are especially on the bigger motors but not limited to them the Faulty Oil Pump at higher revs which couldn't scavenge the Oil fast enough ... Which has been solved , fingers crossed by an upgraded pump which mine got ... And there is the strange issue , again seemingly at high rev's of Oil transfer from the Gear box to the primary ... Just recently there was an Technical Alert from Harley so hopefully something will get done if people are affected .

Other than that its a great new bike ... Doing the ride from Brisbane to Wollongong for that Harley Days thing they are having down there ... About 2800 K's round trip so if it's going to play up this trip should be a make or break one ... I'm hoping for the make category , Lol .

Always keen to see your ideas so chuck up them pics whenever you get the time .

Good luck with all your projects Squid ... Cheers .

    Tim .
