Agreed. I really rate it and Kwaka inline four 900's always go well and sound sweet.

They have picked the original Jaffa paint scheme , wonder the heritage of that motor . Last air cooled would have been the Zepher ? , but that one was a dud with 2 spark plugs per cylinder to counteract the poor combustion chamber .

I read about them recently as well.
There talking about ~120 Hp. Would be a fun ride I'd suggest.
Apparently the same motor as the New Z900 (linked below)  but with cosmetic changes (cooling fins etc).

    Interesting to see pricing, as the Z900 i s about $12.5 k.
There are two old Zed's (Z1a + Z1b )in my bothers shed waiting until when we get time to restore them.

It's all in the spirit of things Pauly! Too bad the new Fat Bob didn't have a few more artist impressions like this before final design was accepted.

My old Z900 (which I spent 3 years of time to restore back in the 90s) is one of the very few bikes I've owned (of more than 50) that I actually regret selling.
But being brutally honest, they're not 'that' quick stock, the frame flexes, the single disk versions (like mine) were well under braked and they buzz at higher revs so a real one is more of a sunny weekend ride than a day to day prospect.

OTOH a retro like the one being teased in the trailer would be fine for day to day use whilst not looking like a transformer (as most modern naked bikes do).

Dunno... I'll hold off until I see one in the flesh.  One concern is the seat seems to be up there in height and I've got ducks disease.

    Brings back memories,
Had 1978 HZ Monaro and Z900, in 1978, yup that old.
Those K900"s were beautiful, if set up correctly (I had 3 of them), this brings back time, and if had the cash would be in line.

I've never been a fan of bike companies 'detuning' naked bikes and retro bikes for more low down torque.
Yamaha didn't do it for the XSR900 from the MT09 so I really don't see why Kawasaki did it to this bike and yes 111 ps is probably enough but I'm not so sure about the torque.

Still... I think I'll have to test ride on of these.
